Emergence of Political Angle amidst the Tragedy of Amritsar Accident

Navjot Sing Sidhu has now been targeted by Shiromani Akali Dal and has now being asked resignation. The thing that gave the support to Shiromani Akali Dal to take on Punjab Minister is that her wife was part of the Dussehra Celebrations where the train tragedy happened. The whole committee of Shiromani Dal has decided to go on with the statewide agitation if their two demands will not be approved by the higher authorities. One that Navjot Singh Sidhu should be immediately sacked and other than his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu should be arrested on an immediate basis.

Sidhu has been very aggressively involved in investigating and raising his voice against all the charges that have been put against Shiromani Akali Dal Badal’s family. He is the one who spoke about their involvement in drug trafficking and the other that is about anti-sacrilege posters.

Sidhu also urged Akal Takht in September to excommunicate the Badal clan as they have indulged Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim when they were ruling in Punjab.  Sidhu has said that it was solely the responsibility of local leaders who planned the celebrations too near the railway tracks. This procession has turned into a mishap and 60 people have been mowed down by the coming train.  The SAD’s committee has also gone on to say that Chief Minister is covering up the visible guilty of the ”big names” involved. The investigations are still going on and more information is awaited.
