She has joined Congress recently and is expected to be the candidate from the Mumbai North constituency.

In an interview with social media, she targeted BJP and their development by saying, “If all the money going into that was spent on Vikasthen ‘Vikas’ would have been around”. She also replied that “Politics of hate has grown by leaps and bounds in the last five years and has to be stopped”. Over the last year, celebrities, activists, journalists and different civil society are getting threats and abuses with their trolling with the nation and the development of the country. Even the legendary bollywood actors like Naseeruddin Shah and Aamir Khan have been trolled when they asked questions with the concerns about the safety and cow vigilantism.

She with her trademark style said when trolled with her religion “If anyone thinks the trolling is going to stop me, I am going to have to tell them that I am from the land of Shivaji and there is no stopping us once we take a step forward”. She got married to Mohsin Akhtar Mir, a businessman and model from Kashmir. With the troll is manufactured from a certain ideology, she said, “It is coming from somewhere. I refuse to believe that all these people… I get thousands of likes but the comments are negative. How is that possible?

She also added in her interview “I am not going to attack people from the film industry for not taking a stand, as I feel they are extremely fragile set of people and it is very unfair to attack them and put them in fix or push them into a corner and say “why haven’t you taken a stand?” I did not take a stand for so many years.

Most probably she might take on with BJP’s candidate Gopal Shetty, which somehow has been a tough battle for the Congress.
